Tonight is the night
where the story begins zombies freaks
rising from the grace
from the cracks that where it could break
and so time has come
to party all night
and leaving where you were trapped from
witches come all
quick, before the night dalls
free them, free them, free them, and let them be
to do magics and spells and cast fairies into bees
halloween, halloween is not just tricks
but treats also like apples on a stick

A pinecone speaks softly of mathematics. Listen to it count in curious sequence: 1,1,2,3,5,8,.... Spirals to the left and right whisper the magic numbers to the sunflowers while pineapples applaud the secret three-fold. A nautilus acknowledges the coded message and rises to the surface. Pussy willows stretch in the sun and purr phylotactic ratios...

13,21,34,.... All nature sees the simple pattern and feels the common bond. Connected by a simple thought, numbers lean on other numbers for support. Where did the sequence start and what else repeats the count? Who hears the sighs of geometric growth? What living architects mimic the expansion? Quietly nesting on the ground, a pinecone is a most unlikely mathematician, an unsuspected philosopher, something you can count on.

Cherry Blossom

The cherry blossom tree
sneezed on the wooden bench below,
covering it in pink petals,
accenting the snow.

A sound was made,
but no echo was heard,
for cherry blossoms of the palace,
kiss without word.DSC00355

Life is full of mystery. This picture gives the perspective that the owl is looking far and long, waiting for something to happen, waiting for destiny. You might also look at it as this owl is in a trace of thought.

This plant is reaching for the light. A light can represent a lot of things, life, hope, fortune. In this picture it looks like this plant is branching out, trying to reach the sunlight that gives life to this plant, giving hope that the plant can grow into something majestic.

When was the magazine first published
1888

How has the magazine changed over the years.

Chnaged into a form of art because they're free to do what style they like.

What do people like about the magazine.
The style of photogrpahy, the artwork and significants/ messages, the 'personal and powerful' photos they bring out. How these pictures relate to the world.

Describe a story and photo essay you have seen in the magazine.

the "Afghan Girl" that had Sharbat Gula as the subject. Picture shows a powerful expression of anxiety  from the people of Afghanistan. The fear of being part of the refugee camp in Pakistan.

Do you agree that being a photographer for National Geographic sounds like a dream come true?
Yes and No. Mostly yes because the idea to travel  around the world and taking powerful pictures to explore the world's deepest secrets are intriging. To show it off to the world is even better. No, because of the poor enviromental condition you have to face, which may give you diseases.

What seem to be the features of a typical assignment for a National Geographic photographer?

Beautiful, artisitc wild life pictures, that does always have to tell a story.

This documentary was made just before photographers switched from film to digital. Give three or more examples of how it would have changed the way they are able to work.

Shows the inconvience of working film cameras, you don't have zoom, so u have to get a close up.

Effects are all natural, theres no special light effects on these pictures

Quality of the pictures are refine n clear.

What types of hardships does the photographer face when working in the jungle? What are some of the risks the other photgraphers face?
Taking photographs of agressuve animals (angry elephants) at close up and avoid getting hurt by it. Getting tropical diseases (eg: from insects)

If a National Geographic photographer was going to do a story about Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, what types of pictures would he or she take?

pictures that will capture the emontion and lifestyle of the person being part of this parliment. (eg: Emontion of stress)
